Welcome to the Hartfuß family home

This is the homepage of Ingrid, Leonie and Luca with Michelle, Marcus with Petra, and Oliver with Trixi – in short: the small digital meeting place of the Hartfuß family.

The story of this branch of the family begins in the Saarland region. Werner Hartfuß and Ingrid Hartfuß (née Grasmück) were both born in Merzig. Werner also grew up there, where his parents ran a sawmill, while Ingrid was raised in the neighboring village of Hilbringen. The two places are separated only by a bridge over the Saar – geographically speaking, not much of an obstacle for what would later become a shared family story.

In the late 1960s, Werner’s career brought him to Baden-Württemberg: in 1969, he started a position at SEL in Stuttgart, and Ingrid followed a year later. What began in Saarland soon turned into a new chapter of the family story in Swabia. In 1975, they built a terraced house in Korntal; new at the time, and today something of a small piece of family history made of stone and concrete.

Oliver was born in 1974, followed two years later by Marcus. With that, the first generation of the “Swabian Hartfuß family” was complete. Marcus stayed close to the region: together with his wife Petra, he built an end-of-terrace house in Stuttgart-Weilimdorf, where their two children, Luca and Leonie, grew up.

Oliver initially moved to Furtwangen in the Black Forest for his studies. Since 2000, he has been living and working in Villingen-Schwenningen. In 2018, he met Trixi, and for several years now, the two have been walking through life together – and through the Black Forest as well.

Sadly, Werner passed away in 2011. Much of what has shaped our family – a strong sense of togetherness, down-to-earth values, and a practical approach to life – can still be traced back to him.

Over the years, the Hartfuß family has spread from the Saarland region via Stuttgart to the Black Forest. Geographically, the circle has grown a little wider – but as a family, we have remained pleasantly close to one another.
